How to play Daily Quiz
The rules
- A quiz has 10 questions, shown one at a time.
- Each question has 4 options. Exactly one is right.
- You have 15 seconds for each question. The bar above the question shows the time left.
- Your first tap is your answer. If the time runs out, the question scores 0.
- A right answer scores 500 to 1000 points: the faster, the more.
- After each answer you see the right option, then the next question comes by itself.
How to play here
- Tap or click an option.
- On a keyboard, press 1 to 4 to pick an option. Arrow Up and Arrow Down move between the options, and Enter picks the one you are on.
- After an answer, press Enter or tap Next to go on at once.
Difficulty levels
The level is how well known the answers are. The questions cover geography, history, science, nature, sport, the arts, food, language, technology and general knowledge.
| Level | The questions are |
|---|---|
| Easy | Things almost everyone knows |
| Medium | Things most people know |
| Hard | Things about half of people know |
| Expert | Things few people know |
Strategy
- Read all four options: two of them are often easy to rule out.
- Go with your first thought: a fast right answer is worth up to twice a slow one.
- Do not run out of time: a guess still has a one-in-four chance, a timeout has none.
FAQ
- How are the points counted?
- A right answer scores 500 to 1000 points: 1000 if you answer at once, 500 at the last moment. A wrong answer or a timeout scores 0. The best possible score is 10,000.
- Can I change my answer?
- No. Your first tap is your answer.
- What happens when I pause?
- The clock stops and the question is hidden until you go on.
- Is there a different quiz every day?
- Yes, for 15 days in a row at each of the four levels: easy, medium, hard and expert. After that the quizzes of a level come round again in the same order. Earlier quizzes are in the archive.
- Do I need an account to play?
- No. You play right in your browser, with no sign-up and no cookies. Your progress is saved in your browser.
